West Coast Whales

The West Coast Whales are led by 2-time World Series winner and Captain David “Wave” Wilson. Unfortunately for the Whales, both wins were with another team. Finally with a team of his own, Wilson looks to bring a trophy to the West Coast. Alongside him: his brother-in-law, Marco Perez, Season 6 Rookie of the Year, Adam Zahara, veteran Alejandro Hohmann and rookie standout, Gerome Prudencio.

DAVID “WAVE” WILSON

Captain of the West Coast Whales, David “Wave” Wilson is a 2-time World Series champion (with the Coastal Cuttlefish). What he lacks in fantasy baseball skills he makes up for in on-the-field skills. He’s one of the few pitchers in the league with a 12-6 curveball and currently sits top 5 in career home runs (batting).

MARCO “DEALER’S CHOICE” PEREZ

Some say he’s born with it, some say it’s nepotism. Marco “Dealer’s Choice” Perez is married to his captain’s sister. We’re only slightly kidding as Marco is top 10 all-time in most stats (pitching and hitting).

ADAM “2-TRUE OUTCOMES” ZAHARA

The Season 6 Rookie of the Year, Adam “2-True Outcomes” Zahara set a BBWL record with 11 home runs in the regular season. It’s boom-or-bust with this guy as he’s either rounding the bases or throwing his bat in frustration.

GEROME “DRUM” PRUDENCIO

A rookie in Season 7, Gerome “Drum” Prudencio is known for his on-base skills. Although his batting average may sit around the Mendoza Line, his on-base-percentage is north of .500. Billy Beane would love this guy.

ALEJANDRO “MOBY DICK” HOHMANN

Born to live on and in and all around the water, Alejandro is our “boat guy.” If he’s not biking to games you’ll find him sailing straight to the field. Also, he has a cute dog.
